U.N. working to disarm the U.S.

We have seen the Obama administration's willingness to use any tool, and every means to advance his unpopular agenda, be it socialized medicine, amnesty for illegal aliens, or appointing incompetent people onto the Supreme Court.

Obama's latest scheme involves Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who has announced that the Obama Administration would be working closely with the U.N. to pass the Small Arms treaty, with the potential to seriously infringe upon the American right to keep and bear arms.

Of course, this would be done under the guise of fighting "terrorism", "insurgency" and "international crime syndicates" while the real target is our Constitutional right for law abiding citizens to own and bear arms.

What exactly, does the intended agreement require?

While the terms have yet to be made public, if passed by the U.N. and ratified by our own Senate, it will likely require the U.S. to enact tougher licensing requirements, creating additional bureaucratic and red tape for firearms ownership.

Their ultimate goal is to confiscate and destroy all "unauthorized" civilian firearms.  Those owned by our government would be exempt of course.

Ban the trade, sale and private ownership of all semi-automatic weapons that have magazines even though they still operate in the same one trigger pull the same as a revolver.

They would also likely seek to create an international gun registry, setting the stage for full-scale gun confiscation similar to what the Nazis did to the Jews in Germany prior to the Holocaust before sending six million Jews to their deaths.

This treaty would attempt to override our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to legislate against our privately-held guns.

Moreover the Constitution says that treaties which are signed by the President go into effect when "two thirds of the Senators present concur."  So it doesn't matter if there's only three or four Senators on the Floor of the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid could get a small group of senatorial buddies to pass the treaty during a holiday.  This is how they got the Veterans Disarmament Act in 2007 and the Brady Bill in 1993.

Signing such a treaty would not only effectively eliminate our Second Amendment rights, it would make U.N. rules and regulations superior to our own laws, even our U.S. Constitution.

And where is the outrage in Congress?  Unfortunately, there are plenty of anti-gun Representatives and Senators, from both parties, who would have no problem voting away our gun rights if they could get away with it.

President Obama has figured out a way to protect his allies in Congress.  All they have to do is ratify a U.N. treaty and let the U.N. do the dirty work to eliminate American's gun rights permanently!

We simply cannot allow Obama to sign this treaty and make our own Constitution and Bill of Rights subservient to the whims of a U.N., which is largely controlled by thugs and despots.
