 It's time! For Eric Holder to go . . .

The calls for Attorney General Eric Holder's removal from office are coming in fast and furious. It appears Holder perjured himself last May when he said he only learned about the botched Fast and Furious operation by the BAFTE "for the first time over the last few weeks," when in fact, he was receiving regular briefings on the operation as far back as July 2010. This shocking so-called "Fast and Furious" sting operation allowed ATF agents to force gun dealers along our southern border to sell large quantities of firearms to criminal buyers intending to take their weapons across the border to supply the drug cartels with weapons. Unbelievable! Allegedly, ATF's official story involved following the guns to major drug cartel players to make cases. In reality, evidence is growing to suggest the real reason was to provide legitimacy to this regime's lobbying efforts for greater gun control on American citizens. The blame for the tremendous murder rate that has been plaguing Mexico for the past several years should properly be placed on the drug cartels and corrupt politicians who allow these cartels to operate in Mexico. Unfortunately, as a result of Fast and Furious, one of our own Border Patrol agents was slain by one of the weapons the ATF sent to Mexico! To date, not one ATF agent has been prosecuted. "To me this whole operation is just a ruse to go after gun sales in the United states; don't punish the people involved in the killings, punish the guns." U.S. Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX). Poe -- a former prosecutor and judge who appears to have the instincts of a Texas Ranger -- asked a simple question during a recent House Judiciary Committee hearing and he did not get a simple answer from Holder who kept evading the question. "The idea that the U.S. government would facilitate smuggling of weapons to our neighboring country, and he doesn't know who was in charge of that? It is very difficult to believe that he doesn't know." Congressman Poe. Incredibly, the ATF didn't even advise its own liaison in Mexico City of the Fast and Furious operation. Holder subordinates, including Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, have been identified as being knowledgeable of the operation months before it blew up in everyone's faces with the slaying one year ago of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. Holder has dismissed nobody. Several people have been transferred to other jobs, but are still drawing salaries. Nobody has taken the blame. "Rather than saying this was wrong, they say, "Let's go after the gun dealers because they sold the guns." -- Congressman Poe. Time for Eric Holder to go!
